Bamboo reaches harvestable strength in a few years, regrows from the same roots, and keeps the carbon it absorbed locked inside your building. Per unit of weight, its tensile strength rivals mild steel, and its flexibility is prized in earthquake and wind country. What it has lacked is engineering. That is the part we add: preservation, joinery and structural design that make bamboo dependable.

Right at the Channapatna highway exit, The Kantara is South India’s largest bamboo restaurant. A soaring A-frame roof, branching bamboo columns and warm, layered lighting turn a roadside meal into a destination people plan their journey around.
Near Kabini, this resort centrepiece draws on Bali’s bamboo tradition: a sweeping wave-form canopy carried on branching bamboo columns, and an octagonal lattice ceiling that lets daylight fall through. It is among the tallest bamboo structures we have built, designed to be the one guests remember.
